Meet Dr. Alero Boyo

Dr. Boyo completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa and then then attended dental school at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland before returning to Toronto for a GPR at Mount Sinai Hospital. She then went on to complete an oral and maxillofacial surgery internship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Following this she moved to Halifax to join the 6-year oral and maxillofacial surgery program at Dalhousie, obtaining her MD and MSc in 2023.

Outside of work, Alero enjoys spending time with her husband and their two cats. She also loves travelling, cooking, baking and working on her golf game.

Dr. Boyo will begin accepting referrals for consultation and treatment at Citadel Surgery immediately. Her training and interests lie in full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery, including orthognathic surgery, dental implants, pre-prosthetic surgery, surgical pathology, and of course all levels of dentoalveolar surgery including wisdom teeth removal. Needless to say, with the addition of Dr. Boyo and her wealth of up-to- date knowledge and clinical expertise, we predict an exciting expansion of services offered along with shorter patient waiting times, all while maintaining the quality and timely service you, our referring dentists, have come to expect from Citadel Surgery!
